Kick Monday’s Ass: Finding the Road Forward (Oct 12, 2020)
It’s time to kick Monday’s ass…
This is a weird week for me. Normally I’m pretty open about my life, but my mentors have shown me the wisdom in showing scars vs open wounds.
Suffice it to say, I’m facing a few massive life changes. And I know I’ll get through them and figure out a way forward. Maybe someday in the future I’ll share what’s shaken me up and what I learned. But for now, this is how I’m coping – by continuing to do what I’m committed to doing.
I hope you’ll see this as a friendly occasional reminder (one that I think we all need reminding of from time to time) – sometimes life can change in an instant.
Take care of yourself. Save money. Take walks. Do deep thinking about what’s important to you and what you want out of life.
And remember that this too, shall pass.
Speaking of moving forward, check out this week’s video…
Kick Monday’s Ass: finding the road forward
Do you daydream about your future?
Fantasize about your dream life?
You’re on the right track… because that’s the first step in figuring out how to make it happen.
Badass of the Week
Mitchell Couch of California? You’re my hero.
Why? This guy has decided the world’s hard enough to deal with considering COVID, lockdowns, the economy, and the challenges of at-home learning. So he decided to do something about it – and started building desks for students stuck at home doing virtual learning.
Find a problem you can solve, and solve it as best you can. Sometimes it’s just that simple.
(If you know someone who should be featured as my Badass of the Week, leave a comment and tell me!)
On Repeat This Week…
The mellow mood continues, with “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran.
All you Lord of the Rings fans may recognize the tune – and I admit to only recently watching the entire saga.
This song immediately caught my attention for its simplicity in the melody, combined with slowly building harmonies.
“Now I see fire, inside the mountain
I see fire, burning the trees
And I see fire, hollowing souls
And I see fire, blood in the breeze
And I hope that you’ll remember me”
ANGIE COLEE
