Mud Island – a scale model of the Mississippi River

First I had to have a picnic, and of course it was another round of Gus’s Fried Chicken:

This was beautiful – I really wish the water had been flowing so you could see the awesomeness and get the full effect.

It took me about half an hour to walk from the “start” of the scale model Mississippi to the “gulf” and back. That’s how large this thing is.

And though the water wasn’t flowing, it was kinda cool to see the depths little islands along the way.
